Vadim Smotryaev joined IBA in November 2006 as a team leader. In July 2013, he was appointed as Director of Technical Division.
In this capacity, he develops and oversees the implementation of the division’s strategy, as well as manages the day-to-day operations of the Technical Division.

He earned an M.S. degree in mathematics and computer science from the Belarusian State University in 2002 and graduated from the postgraduate course at the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 2005. Vadim has more than twenty years of experience in the design and creation of complex banking systems. His expert knowledge in IT for the banking industry, and payment and contactless technologies is confirmed by international certificates.

Vadim is in charge of several products at IBA Group, including Fare Collection System, Preprocessing Systems, Account-Based System, and tapXphone (transformation of NFC-enabled smartphones into payment terminals).
