Vadzim Smatrayeu

VP Fintech Services at IBA Group

Vadzim Smatrayeu joined IBA in November 2006 as a team leader. In July 2013, he was appointed as Director of Technical Division and in 2024 promoted to the position of Vice President for Fintech Services.

In this capacity, he develops and oversees the implementation of the company’s fintech strategy, as well as manages the day-to-day operations of the division that deals with SoftPOS and other payment acceptance solutions.

He earned an M.S. degree in mathematics and computer science from the Belarusian State University in 2002 and graduated from the postgraduate course at the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 2005. Vadzim has more than twenty years of experience in the design and creation of complex banking systems. His expert knowledge in IT for the banking industry, and payment and contactless technologies is confirmed by international certificates.

Vadzim is in charge of several products at IBA Group, including Fare Collection System, Preprocessing Systems, Account-Based System, and the SoftPOS solution (transformation of NFC-enabled smartphones into payment terminals).
